Can I use images I find on Google, or the Web?
In a word No. Although technically it may be possible, you need to have the agreement of the copyright owner of the image, and also the image needs to be at a suitable resolution (see question below)

What resolution do images I supply need to have?
If you are creating an iPhone App, the resolution for a full screen image is: 640 x 960pixels, at 326 pixels per inch.
iPad 2048 x 1536 pixels

I’ve been given a cost for the App, what’s included, what’s not included?
If you have received the App Inspection Report, sometimes known as the App MOT, then you should have received details of what is included within your App quotation.

Do I have to pay VAT?
We operate under UK law, which means we do have to pay the nasty little Tax man 9sorry tax men out there). If we have to charge VAT we will do so accordingly, at the standard VAT rate. In practise this generally means we have to charge all UK based people / business VAT. You can claim this back if you are VAT registered.

How can I pay?
You can pay via bank transfer, all the details will be on the invoice we send to you. Alternatively used notes, in a brown paper bag delivered under the cover of darkness in a public place is also acceptable :)

Can I pay in any other ways other than Bank transfer?
We find most of clients want to secure the next available App dev spot in our studio, and to secure that the quickest way is to provide the initial payment via an online transaction. Details of this should be supplied with your App quote, App Inspection form (also known as the App MOT). Payment may be possible via PayPal.  If you have any questions regarding payment, feel free to contact Pat@AppManSecrets.com.

Do I need to get an Apple developer account to distribute my App across the iOS platform?
Yes! Please start this process as soon as possible. The App Man knows how, use this Apple registration guide to help.

Do I need a different developer account to distribute on iPad?
No – just a regular iOS account will do fine.

Do I need to get an Android developer account to distribute my App across the iOS platform?
Yes!

How long does it take?
Every App is unique, and therefore each App takes a different time to complete. We provide a list of dates/milestones in your AppManProjects calendar so that everybody is clear of the time-line, and we work hard to ensure we deliver on time. If the case where we are in danger of missing a deadline, we will make you aware, and adjust the milestones accordingly.

How can I speed up the process?
Whilst we endeavour to complete each App as quickly as possible, some good things take a title time. We concentrate on quality first, speed second. Our approach is to work swiftly, not fast. To help us produce the App in the swiftest time, you can help us, by ensuring that after each ‘bit’ we deliver, you return 1 (one) reply with all comments and changes listed, preferable by number. This helps a great deal.

What if I want to make changes to my App concept?
Just inform your Project Manager, they will discuss the changes required. If these changes are outside the original specification, this may effect the cost of the App, but you will be made aware of any changes.

What if there is a problem?
Please contact us at any time via your AppManProjects environment, this is the best way to document any problems.
